Clara Nguyen-Tran is a violist from Toronto, Ontario. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto where she studied with Eric Nowlin and Teng Li. In recent years, she has had the pleasure of performing in solo masterclasses for Atar Arad, Hsin-Yun Huang, and Scott St. John, as well as in chamber masterclasses for the Juilliard, Prazak, St. Lawrence, Jupiter, New Orford, Cecilia, and Daedelus string quartets. During the summers, she has participated in the Orford Arts Centre and the Madeline Island chamber music programs. Clara is a member of the Aeris String Quartet who were winners of the 2018 Galimir Chamber Competition at the University of Toronto. She is currently continuing her viola studies with Steven Dann at The Glenn Gould School.
